the challenge

A few years ago Store A Box, a family owned provider of secure document storage and archiving services, approached us to help them compete in an industry dominated by large competitors. They were poorly positioned in search engines, were by their own account "dabbling with Google Adwords" and were very concerned about how they were going to combat the large marketing budgets of their competitors. Specifically they wanted us to;


  • Perform keyword research to see what phrases their consumers were searching for and boost their search engine rankings so they were in the top 5 positions for those phrases
  • Increase the total amount of traffic to their site to improve their brand awareness
  • Increase the volume of inbound enquiry
  • Improve and manage their Adwords campaign to get a better return on their investment

the tactics

In early 2007 we launched a comprehensive online marketing campaign centered around organic Website SEO and local search positioning. Some months later we embarked on a renewed search engine advertising campaign in Google.


Recently we have embarked on a website re-development and conversion rate optimisation strategy.


the outcomes

  • Within 3 months of the original website optimisation we achieved top 5 rankings in Google and top 3 rankings in Yahoo and Bing for 87% of the targeted search terms
  • Within the first year website traffic increased by 413.7%
  • Within the first year of their paid search advertising campaign we generated traffic at a 53.8% discount to their previous average cost per click
  • We continue to manage their monthly website seo and search engine advertising campaigns to this day
